Possibilities to spend the winter here in Mlynárov Dvor and the heart of Liptov is countless. If you ski or snowboard, the hills around have a lot! Just choose according to difficulty :). We recommend the best ski resort in Slovakia, Jasna Centre, which is from our hotel 30 minutes’ drive away. But if winter sports are not for you, you will appreciate the thermal pools and aqua parks Besenova and Liptovsky Mikuláš or visit the many cultural events and attractions open all year.

LYŽIARSKE STREDISKÁ
Jasná (25 km)
Jasná, one of the largest and most popular winter sports centres is situated 25 km from our pension. The centre is located in the upper part of the Demänová valley. It offers excellent terrain for downhill skiing and a variety of cross-country tracks of various difficulty. Snowboarding fans may enjoy the newly-built U-ramp at the bottom station of the Jasná – Luková cable car route. There are also many opportunities for fans of ski-alpinism.
Ski Park Malino Brdo (20 km)
SKIPARK Ružomberok lies in the High Fatras, above the town of Ružomberok, at an altitude of 545 to 1,209 m above sea level. Directly in the centre of the skipark, there is a 4-seater chair-lift, 2 ski-lifts and 4 ski-lifts for beginners and children. The entrance part, Hrabovo, where the cable car to Malinô Brdo starts
Fun Park Žiarce Pavčina Lehota (15 km)
FUN PARK Žiarce is located in village Pavčina, at the outset known Demänovská valley. North facing slopes and artificial snow ensures enough snow until late spring. The area is very popular especially among families with children. For the youngest skiers there is a ski school and kindergarten, as well as rental ski.
Opalisko Závažná Poruba (20 km)
It is located also in the heart of Liptov Low Tatras in the village Závažná Poruba, at the foot of Poludnica (1548 m). It is located 5 km from the center of Liptovský Mikuláš. It lies at an altitude of 640 m asl and rises to a height of 1 030 m asl It offers comfortable family-type center, with beautiful and prepared slopes.
Ski Javorovica Liptovský Ján (25 km)
Ski resort Janska Valley – Javorovica (1060 m) is located on the northern slopes of Low Tatras in one of the most beautiful valleys in Slovakia. It is 7 km away from Liptovsky Mikulas and only two kilometers from the motorway exit direction Liptovský Ján. The resort has the character of a family type with own ski school and ski kindergarten. Clients are available at the resort can rent either ski or snowboard equipment but also service. A place they can find beginners as well as experienced skiers.
ParkSnow Donovaly (45 km)
Rich offerings of winter sports will entice you to this ski resort. Skiing, Snowrafting, Snow-paragliding, nighttime skiing, masked skiing – and all on excellently prepared slopes. Don’t miss a unique attraction in Slovakia: DOGSLED RACING.
AQUAPARKY, WELLNESS A TERMÁLNE KÚPALISKÁ:
Aquapark Tatralandia (15 km)
Tatralandia Holiday Resort is the largest year-round water fun complex with accommodation in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. It is situated in Liptov region – region with plenty of cultural sights, typical folk culture and folklore, surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovakia – High and Low Tatras, Veľká Fatra (Great Fatra), Malá Fatra (Small Fatra) and Choč Mountains.
Gino Paradise Bešeňová (12 km)
Here are 18 bathing pools,that are open year round. The geo-thermal springs reach a temperature of up to 61°C. The temperature of the water in the pools is 36-40°C and wells up from a depth of 1,987 m. It has beneficial effects on the kinetic and breathing systems, urologic problems and has favourable cosmetic effects.

Kart Centrum Liptov (10 km)
Kart Center Liptov is motokart hall with the greatest length of track in central Slovakia. There is lot of entertainment for the entire family, friends or eager individuals. For kids they have prepared children’s karts.

Modern 3D cinema in Liptovsky offers excellent audio-visual experience where you will not miss any movie premiere!
Hurricane Factory Tatralandia (15 km)
Hurricane Factory is a unique adrenaline attraction. It simulates freefall, which you can experience as in jump from an airplane or cliff, but without the sense of fear and discomfort of altitude. It consists of a unique wind tunnel with a circular glass flight chamber. It has a diameter of 4.3m and an overall height of an unbelievable 14m.

If you are a lover of pizza, definitely do not miss the pizzeria, which is the best choice for its quality in Liptovsky Mikulas. It is situated on the main square near the church.
